Welcome to the North Carolina Lighthouse Project

This project will allow North Carolina fourth graders to explorer some of the lighthouse that are on our coast.  Students will participate in each of these phases:

• North Carolina Lighthouse Scavenger Hunt using Google Earth

• Finding digital images of each lighthouse and citing your sources

• Researching facts about each of the lighthouse:

  • Date Built

  • Height

  • Location

  • Construction

  • Tower Shape

• Research something interesting about the lighthouse, should be a sentence or two at the most.

• Create a Photo Story Movie about the North Carolina Lighthouses.
